ABOUT THE INDIANS

The Indians were the first settlers of North America from Asia over 20,000 years ago. Because they followed game, they wandered through the Bering Strait (formerly the isthmus, now dividing Asia and North America). Gradually they settled and developed into various tribes. Centuries they built the community regularly. They are a strong tribe and have a reliable war strategy.

They were also the first nation to inhabit the Americas before the continent was discovered by the explorer Columbus, who then made the Americas known and attracted Europeans to expand to the continent. Since the arrival of Columbus, white people came to America to then live and settle there. The arrival of these white people was initially welcomed by the Indians.

They held a special sacred respect for the arrival of the white people. But over time, white people began to seize land belonging to the Indians. They were treated unfairly and cruelly, bloodshed often occurred.

Precipitation data is typically given in centimeters, as is temperature data, which is usually given in degrees Celsius.

The amount of years' worth of data represented on a climograph is not always predictable, as it depends on the data available for the particular region being studied.

Agriculture in and around Terre Haute, Indiana does not generally require irrigation due to the amount of precipitation the region receives, which is sufficient for agricultural needs. However, agriculture in Cape Town, South Africa may need to be irrigated, due to the lower levels of precipitation and the fact that the region lies in the Southern Hemisphere, outside of the tropics.
